The Kennicott Bible has an extremely rare box-binding which contains on the inside covers a decorative cut-out paste-down consisting of two pieces of parchment. The first has a coloured geometrical design and the second, pasted on to it, has a gold cut-out design. This was copied in the facsimile and is supplied as two sheets, one cut out the other fully printed, which can then be superimposed. Together they look decorative and very unusual.
