Verso, the Exodus itself (on horseback!) is the subject of the illustration that follows the first word of a Psalm from Hallel beginning ‘In the going out’. A column of Israelites, led by a man bearing a standard decorated partially with silver, includes three men and two women on foot, and five men on horseback, the first holding a banner.
