RaDaK’s Sefer Mikhlol is elegantly decorated with intricate geometrical full page designs dotted with gold, multicoloured inks and gargoyle heads embellishing the red and black text. Verso, the artist Joseph painted a dense though delicate multicoloured foliage scroll, interspersed with flowers, a contemporary naturalistic style which contrasts with the archaistic geometrical inter¬lace above the arcades and the red filigree frame. The red and purple arcades have dragon’s head bases and capitals
