Parashat Yithro The first page contains text illustrations within two compartments of a gold framed panel depicting the two last episodes of the preceding parashat Beshalach. a) In the top part, the Waters of Massah and Merivah (Exodus 17: 6-7): A naked man carrying a water-skin, with a small green dragon in front of him. b) At the bottom, the Battle with Amalek (Exodus 17: 8-13): A naked man drawing the string of a crossbow with both hands. The colourful panel frames the word parashah. The entire parashah spans three leaves (folios 45-47).
Leaf size is approximately 320 x 262mm (12.5 x 10in)
